 Only use one time before the canister part broke March 15, 2010

This was a Xmas gift. I used it once. The scecond time I used it it broke on the plastic canister where the handle is.
I spent time trying to find a customer service for this item. There wasn't any. Or even a listing where I might get a new canister.
Sure there's a warranty. But I don't have the receipt or any info on it.
At least my hand-held juicer is sturdy and not make out of cheap, defective plastic!!!!

It lasted me a month juicing 7 days a week. It started turning back and forth by itself at random times and I could hear the gears inside grinding against each other in a bad way. I gave up on it and opened it since I was not going to return it and my general impression is of cheap materials and design. The plastic gears look like they would wear themselves off very quick. The exterior design of the juicer is good and functional (juice holder, pulp selector, easy cleaning, power cord wrapping, etc) but I think the internals are not. Maybe they can't make them good at the 20-30 dollars range. Maybe it was just a defective model but I cannot recommend it.

if you don't like pulp, invest in a strainer.
rinse immediately after each use.

This citrus juicer does a pretty good job of quickly juicing a variety of citrus. It includes two sizes of the juicing mechanism, so you can do lemons and limes, as well as larger fuit. Really big oranges and grapefruit take a little more effort on your part, but still can be juiced. I actually lost my first one to the ex and bought another one. Like most small appliances, if you run it too long, the motor will start to burn.
