Product Description
Most professional chefs have a thermometer tucked in a jacket pocket, and if it works for them, perhaps you should try it too!

Amazon.com Review
For professional accuracy, nothing beats this digital thermometer for instantly ascertaining the temperature of foods, whether they're frozen, on the buffet line, or being cooked. Its 1/3-inch LCD face, protected by a rugged polycarbonate cover, displays temperatures from minus 58degrees to 302 degrees F, and updates every second. An on/off switch prolongs the life of the 1.5-volt watch battery that powers the thermometer. (Two batteries are included.) The thermometer comes with a pocket case and has a 4-5/8-inch stainless-steel stem tipped with a temperature sensor, so the thermometer reads temperatures near a food's surface or deep inside. --Fred Brack

Excellent product, I highly recommend it, I have it on my bicycle and use it to find out the temperature when cycling.

5 out of 5 stars Great thermometer   May 13, 2010
Boardingace (San Diego, CA)
This is a great thermometer; it works well, is easy to use, and is easy to read. Just don't put it into the oven like I did - it was ruined! But I bought another one.

5 out of 5 stars digital thermometer   April 21, 2010

a brilliantly designed tool. easy to use and readout is very easy -- flat head design allows you to see temp and on/off switch saves battery life, love that they include spare battery and option for Celsius. I use to measure water temp for my Japanese teas. very sensitive instrument - and yes, it is instant.

5 out of 5 stars Really like this thermometer   April 19, 2010

This is my second Taylor digital instant read thermometer (lost the first one). I bought one just like the first one because I liked it so much. I can't comment on other brands because I don't own another one that is a digital instant read. But if I also happened to lose this one, I would buy another one just like it.

I ordered two thermometers. One quit working after only one week of use. The other one did a little better and lasted about 4 months before it quit working. These thermometers are very poorly built and will not last if you carry it in your pocket all day. They might do OK if they were kept in a drawer and only used once in a while.
