1 out of 5 stars poor product   October 22, 2008
Kari C. Carlson
I had the same "squirting" problems but really didn't give up on this pump until I had to consistently pull the top back up...too much trouble...I actually tossed this thing in the trash after only a month's use. Life is too short for daily inconveniences that can be avoided.

2 out of 5 stars Not Satisfied Yet   March 19, 2008
Sandra A. Lloyd (Merritt Island, FL United States)
I was so glad to finally find foam soap dispensers so I would not have to use the throw away products available in the store. Unfortunately, of the 10 I purchased, only 5 work without sticking in the down position. The others work fine, so far. I have contacted the retailer, but not heard back yet. Wish me luck!

5 out of 5 stars stylish and sturdy   October 28, 2007

I am very pleased with this. It is sturdy arcylic and can take some abuse, but still looks pretty. The brushed nickel is easily cleaned and it doesn't get rusty.

I have no trouble using it one-handed. I press with the palm of my hand and keep my fingers in front of the spout- otherwise soap will shoot far. The cheaper plastic foaming pumps were to too unstable to easily use one handed.

Issues all foaming pumps have: You must keep the soap level well below the air intake, or the spring mechanism will stop working. It will clog if you don't use good soap/water. Our well water is so bad we have to use filtered water when we mix soap.

2 out of 5 stars Loved it, for a week   September 27, 2007

I thought this was great! I was willing to give it a shot, even though the reviews weren't that good. Unfortunately, my issue was that after about a week of use, the spring in the pump did not spring back. If you pressed it, you had to manually pull it back up.

I called customer service and spoked to someone, who was very helpful. After trying her suggestions (soap to water ratios, and leaving space at the top for air), I asked to return it and get a refund. She was very understanding and refunded my money quickly. I hope they come out with a new version, so I can try it out again.

2 out of 5 stars You can do better   January 4, 2007

I ordered this foam pump to make better use of the Dr. Bronners liquid soap that I use. When I saw bad reviews, I hoped to defend it. No. It squirts straight ahead. Sometimes you catch the soap, sometimes the soap hits the wall, sometimes the floor. The pump goes down, but you have to pull it back up.

For the price of this pump, I got 6 nice looking plastic pump bottles on eBay that actually work. They look almost as good as this one. The style of this one is OK, but certainly not dramatic enough to make up for the lack of function.
