Microwaving in plastic dishes causes birth defect problems for boys. Please check this our on your own (http://discovermagazine.com/2008/may/18-the-dirty-truth-about-plastic/article_view?b_start:int=1&-C=). It is science, not a myth. Then, buy and use glass dishes to heat items in the microwave (store them in the refrigerator too, of course).

These are the right size for many uses. I can bring cooked food to work, or refrigerate cooked food. I don't have to buy lunches now. They save me money. The size is perfect. The glass is heavy enough. Great product!

I have several of the Pyrex Storage containers and I think they're great for storage and reheating. I am trying to move away from plastic containers (especially cheap ones) and this is a perfect alternative. Also, they are made in the USA, which to me is very important for several reasons.

The Pyrex storage dish is a favorite of mine. I have several in different sizes. It can be used in the microwave to reheat food. I would certainly recommend this product.
