I love my beater blade, so I'm giving this a 5. I agree with all of the great things that everyone says about this stand mixer attachment. HOWEVER--my stand mixer is a Professional 5 Plus, and though it is considered a 5 quart mixer, this blade DOES NOT fit. If you go to the BeaterBlade.com website, or to Amazon's webpage for the 6 quart KitchenAid BeaterBlade, you will find that the Pro5 line requires the BeaterBlade for the 6 quart KitchenAid models. I'm writing this review to prevent others from making the same mistake I did. DO buy the BeaterBlade attachment though--it is a wonder!

I watched a YouTube Video by SeriousCakes and was sold. It really cuts the time spent checking if the batter is mixed properly. A few times I had some of my ingredients flying out of the bowl, but it may be because I had the speed to high. The blade is well worth the money. Hope I can find one for my 4-quart mixer.

I love my KitchenAid stand mixer. But it was frustrating to have to scrape down the bowl when I made anything with a 'sticky' batter. This device did the trick. The only scraping I do is when I remove the beater and scrape off the side of the bowl to empty it. Well worth the money!

This was an early Christmas gift from my husband. I usually bake 12-15 batches of cookies in December. The beater is made of clear plastic and is very light. It handled cold butter amazingly well and the amount of time and effort that you save was MUCH more than you would expect.
All I need now is a second one so that I can continue mixing while my husband cleans the beater and bowl for the next batch.
