Amazon.com Review The brightly colored handles on the four knives in this set strike cheerful notes in the kitchen, while the blades, stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, have all the shapes required for small-knife tasks. There's a 3-inch low-point, straight-edge knife (yellow handle) for cutting fruits and vegetables into thin slices, a 2-1/4-inch curved-blade knife (blue handle) for peeling and shaping, a 4-inch classic paring knife (green handle), and a 4-1/2-inch serrated utility knife (red handle) with a rounded point for slicing tomatoes. Handles are textured for a secure grip even when wet, and the lightweight knives prevent wrist strain when kitchen chores stretch out. These knives are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Great inexpensive set of knives June 30, 2010 O. Guerra J.A. Henckels Twin Grip Colored Paring Knives, Set of 4
When the knives arrived they were extremely sharp and six months later they are still very sharp, the knives are light and easy to handle, the blades aren't thin or flimsy and the colors are very close to what you see on screen.
Fantastic knives June 24, 2010 D. Ambrose (FL) I bought these knives for a second home we built and thought they would give me enough of a variety for the little time they would be used. From the first time I used them I could not believe how sharp and easy they were to use and handle, and from what other family members have commented about when they visited and used them was the same. When I returned home I realized how much I missed using them and ordered a set for there also. Would highly recommend and would make a great wedding or house warming gift.
Great kitchen addition June 5, 2010 cjp (austin, tx) Love these knives. Had a set before but one of the kids lost the yellow one, and I was without a complete set--needed for multiple kitchen tasks. The ones I had came in a block. I purchased this new set, and had the block already, so now I am complete.
A knife set you will use every day May 3, 2010 Roger A. Lange (Upland, CA) I gave this set to about 20 clients for Christmas. The feedback has been 100% positive. One blade separated from the handle and was returned to Henckels. It was immediately replaced with no hassle. My lady has her favorite one for a given chore. It will be a great addition to your everyday kitchen knife collection, regardless of how many you have.
Love These Knives February 5, 2010 percysparent (Lincoln NE) I've had a set of these knives for more than 5 years and they get used virtually every day, usually several times. They're in the dishwasher almost every day as well. I have the ones made in Germany, not the Henckels international. I've read it makes a difference. I also have a large set of Cutco knives. The Henckels set is the one I constantly reach for. About the only cutco pieces I use are the chef's knife and the bread knife for larger loaves of bread. The Henckels set is used for everything else. Spent a ton of money on the expensive set and I use the dirt cheap set. I've given this set as gifts to many people including most members of the family. The piece I use the most is the bird's beak knife. Fantastic for peeling everything I don't like to use peelers. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH RUST. I don't expect these to work as well for things like heavy chopping jobs due to the weight and size limitations. I wish a version of a chef's knife were available. These have been downrated by sone reviewers for things such as ease of use and comfort. For a set that tends to get grabbed and used briefly, it really doesn't become an issue, but I have peeled 10 lbs of potatoes and sliced many loaves of french baguette at one time without any obvious discomfort to me. I've been told I'm a gourmet cook so I do a great deal of cooking and if I love using these knives, I would think most light-duty chefs would as well. The only negative is not having a chef's knife as the fifth in the set. (one with the wide blade)If there were a slightly longer serrated knife, I might just sell my Cutco set.
