This is a good quality set of steak knives. Steak knives being the key word. This means they are meant to cut meat. If you are looking for a knife to cut raw vegetables then this is not what you are looking for. You want a paring knife. Which may be why there are some bad reviews. As far as I'm concerned Henckels is a great brand and these knives do not disappoint.

Excellent knives, very sharp. I have had no problem with these and don't believe I will have any. They are well made and do what I need them to. I like them and they will do until I can afford the TWINS. J.A. Henckels has a high-end set of knives that are very pricey but worth it. These will do until then.

I've used the J.A.Henckels International Steak Knives for about 1 month.
They are very sharp. They are a big improvement from the knives I used in the past. I read the reviews before I purchased them. Some people complained after putting them in the dishwasher. I do not put the knives in the dishwasher. I wash and dry them immediately after use.

What do you ask from a steak knife?
It must cut.
It must be easy to wash.
This set of knives does both and at about thirty bucks!
For the money you can't go wrong with these. Granted, they are not for your formal place setting, but for every day use they are more than adequate. They are not only sharp but are also dishwasher safe.
You can't go wrong with these.

I had purchased a set of 4 of these knives several years ago - and they were the only ones that I had owned that actually stayed sharp and did not separate from their handles. These are an excellent value - would recommend them to anyone!
