Great bang for your buck March 10, 2010

Heavy yet very easy to wield, this knife is your go-to for everything in the kitchen. Much better handle than the regular Oxo mini santoku. Love the weight and the edge of the knife.

I ordered the Oxo 6 1/2" Santoku knife, liked the feel of it so decided to get the smaller one too.
I expected to use the larger blade most of the time but it turns out this little 4" is the one I reach for the most often. I use them both really. I like how they hold an edge, the balance and weight in my hand. I've never used the really expensive brands so can't compare but I thought these were surprisingly good quality for the price.

I love this knife. It is the perfect size, rocks nicely, has a nice heft. I especially like the way the grip is shaped to conform to my hand. No knife is going to keep sharp without a little care so to keep mine in top shape, I give it a few swipes across a sharpening steel almost every time I use it.

The Oxo Good Grips Professional 4" mini santoku knife is extremely useful in the kitchen. You can spread with it as well as cut/slice with it. It's not so large that it's difficult to handle. I highly recommend it for general use. In fact I bought 2 of them!
