It does what I wanted it to do. Blade is sharp and seems well made. My only gripe is the soft rubber handle, it might become gummy in the future. Other than that, slices all the soft cheeses I put before it.

very nice cheese plane. if it had a plastic protective cover that snapped onto it, both for hands and for keeping the blades sharp when stored, it would be 5 stars.

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas. I read the reviews on Amazon and decided on this as a "better" product. It is! It works great. Having the knife on the end of the cutter is a great idea and I use it all the time. It shaves cheese very well and is stable and strong. I highly recommend, you will not be dissapointed with this cheese plane.

An excellent product but be sure your remove the plastic film from the cutting surfaces before you try to use it - I almost didn't see it. This is just the basic cheese plane but the quality is well above average.
