Product Description You've gone to the effort of cooking a magnificent roast. Shouldn't you make sure it has the presentation it deserves? Carve consistently, evenly, with this superior carving knife, even if you're left handed! Safety features allow you to use and store this tool with confidence.
Amazon.com Review Cuisinart's electric knife adds a little electricity to any carving or cutting job, providing the extra power a real kitchen commando needs. Its powerful motor combines with two stainless-steel blades (one for carving and one for bread) to make short work of almost every slicing task, whether you're working with a roast, French bread, or vegetables. It has a comfortable ergonomic handle designed to be used by right- or left-handed people, a solid-wood butcher-block storage tray with a safety lock system for storage in a drawer or on the counter, a one-touch pressure-activated on/off trigger control, and space for wrapping the cord. --A.J. Very poorly made February 18, 2010 Postman Pat (Virginia) Having an electric knife which we bought about 20 years ago from the UK, we decided we'd like to have one that didn't need a transformer and this knife looked stylish and sturdy. We used it less than ten times before it failed to turn on. It was outside the warranty period so an engineering friend said he take it it apart (the housing is plastic) to see just what the problem was. Since I was going to throw it out, I didn't mind that he had to actually break the housing to get into the mechanics and I was curious to see what was inside. The inner workings are so cheap and poorly engineered that I am not surprised it failed. I paid over $50 for the knife at Costco so definitely feel Cuisinart is ripping the customer off. I guess quality control is almost non-existent these days and it is all about the enormous mark up. I am back to using our original knife with the transformer and am now very wary about anything that has the Cuisinart logo on it.
Great knife. February 17, 2010 Jennifer Talley (Menifee, CA) Purchased this as a gift for my husband. It cuts through meat like butter and the bread knife works just as well. It has good power. I would definitely recommend this knife.
cuisinart CEK 40 electric knife February 6, 2010 R. Hernandez (Brewster, NY) The knife works very well and is easy to set up and use.
The only complaint is the handle is large, which is difficult to hold particularly if you have small hands.
The Perfect Electric Knife January 31, 2010 C. Jones (PA) This electric carving knife is great. I purchased it for my mother for Xmas and she loves it.
Electric Knife January 25, 2010 Argonaut Bob (Auburn, CA) All segments of this product are made to endure and to perform very well indeed. I am pleased with my purchase
and should the need arise would again purchase it.
