Amazon.com Review
With a 225-watt motor for accomplishing tough jobs, this compact hand mixer provides power and versatility. Two sets of stainless-steel beaters--traditional flat-bladed and easy-cleaning wire--and a whisk for whipping cream and beating egg whites come with the mixer, and six speeds are available by pushing a button atop the handle with your thumb. In addition, just below the speed control, there is another thumb-activated button, which Hamilton Beach calls the QuickBurst. This button provides an extra charge, available at any speed, for powering through tough tasks. Other attributes include a rest so the mixer can hang on a bowl's edge instead of messing up the counter with dripping beaters or whisk, a flat platform on the mixer's end so it stands up for compact storage, a tangle-free cord, and dishwasher-safe beaters and whisk. --Fred Brack

Product Description

4 out of 5 stars Great package, all I need   March 11, 2010
C. Wright (New York , NY)
If you only mix 1/week and need a small package for everything to go in and not get lost, this is a great little mixer. It has to try hard to mix thick cookie dough, but it works. For someone who needs to occasionally mix, this is a great little appliance. And it tucks away.

I have not used the mixer much yet, but it seems fine for the money spent.

Lightning Deal!!! Can't beat it for value. It does everything I need it to do. I can't ask for anything more at the price paid.

1 out of 5 stars Metal Flaked cookie dough   December 12, 2009

I bought this mixer in July after reading the many positive reviews and the good price. I haven't used it that much as I'm not an avid baker, so I was surprised to little metal flakes from the beaters in the cookie dough that was being mixed. I haven't had any problems with the mixer itself, but what good is the mixer if the beaters are bad? Needless to say, I won't be using it again.

1 out of 5 stars Ruster Beaters..YUCK!!   October 25, 2009

Buy this mixer if you having to use a brillo to get your beaters clean every time they come out of the dishwasher. Hey Hamilton Beach, what kind of cheap Chinese metal did you make these out of? Every time I take the beaters out of my new Bosch Dishwasher, they're rusty. I've tried rinsing them in the sink first but they still come out with rust on them. The problem is with the cheap material HB uses to make the beatters. The mixer itself seems decent for the price but don't buy this if you don't want rust in your food.
