I love this skillet/griddle combination, this is the second one of these we have had. We use it all the time during winter months so when our first one quit after about 10 years we were glad we could find another one on Amazon.com

We have had this appliance for about 4 years now and it has held up great and done pretty much everything we've asked of it. That said, we haven't asked too much. I originally bought this for use in our RV. It worked great for making one pot meals and especially for making breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc). I liked it so much in the RV that we now keep it in the house so we can use it more often.
This unit stores really small and is very easy to clean. The pan and lid fit easily in the dishwasher and the griddle wipes clean very easily. After 4 years I have not had any problem with the non-stick coming off or any problems with the temp control. I only use non-stick safe kitchen tools with it (spatula, tongs, etc) which may have helped the longevity.
We use this unit about 1-2 times a week, particularly for breakfast on weekends. It's nice because you can prepare the food right at the table (if you have a nearby outlet) and serve things hot. It is also superb for our RV trips where we want something that doesn't take up much room.
I can't say how well this thing will handle more demanding tasks like frying at high temperatures... I doubt it will get hot enough. That is why only 4 out of 5 stars. Still, I've given this as gifts twice and recommend it without reservation if you're looking for a small griddle that can do some additional simple tasks.

I love this product. In fact, when my first Step Savor wore out from using it every single day for years, I purchased another. I also frequently give these as wedding gifts. This product is so well crafted and so well thought out that I now check out Hamilton Beach products whenever I need a kitchen appliance before looking at any other brand.

I did love this appliance and used it almost daily. So when it quit one day, after about a year of ownership, I just bought another. The second one was never so reliable--it's temperatures flared. Then it quit too. So I am not buying another.
