Ideal for grilling steaks, chicken, fish, burgers, and vegetables indoors, this 1300-watt countertop appliance has a big, family-size grill surface of 12-1/2 by 9-1/4 inches coated with nonstick for low-fat cooking and easy cleaning. A variable heat control provides precise cooking temperatures, and the grill's handles and stylish, dark-gray plastic base stay cool during operation for safety. Another safety feature prevents the heat control, which provides power to the appliance, from being inserted unless the metal drip tray and cooking grid are in place and prevents the grid from being removed during operation. I've used my grill to cook chicken , pork chops and steaks so far! I love it. Thge meat was perfectly done and not dried out at all. The grill is super easy to clean, and the tip about putting the tin foil on the drip tray I got from another review is great. If you're going to cook steak, I've had better luck with NY Strip steak than the thicker steak like rib eye. I highly recommend this grill. Have fun with it!!!!

heats up fast but difficult to control temp and not able to cook meat throughly without burning outside. Maybe it takes awhile to get the hang of it but so far not overly impressed....

I tried this grill because the reviews said it got really hot. Well, it does. On high, the surface temp is over 800 deg. Cooking steak, chops, ribs, chicken, etc. will provide excellent results. There is a small amount of smoke created if seasonings are not used, but seasonings are a different story. I have a favorite steak seasoning but must limit its use to the outdoor grill since the high temperature produced by this grill will quickly fill the room with smoke. Overall, this grill is simple, easy to use, has good temperature control and easy to clean. For the times when grilling outside is impractical due to weather, this is a great substitute.

This item is fairly good. I have to say it's not totally no smoke during grilling. Hey... it's for grilling food... so be realistic, it will smoke during food cooking. For indoor grill, I have to say this is a good one.

I just purchased this grill 2 weeks ago, and I really love it. I have used it for steak, hamburgers, and vegetables. If I didn't use my outdoor grill and needed to cook indoors, I always pan fried my meat. I tried other indoor grills, but didn't like the result. Well, this grill makes the best indoor grilled meats and vegetables I have ever tasted. It cooks evenly and browns wonderfully (just like an outdoor grill). When I pan fried my meat, I needed to cook it on high heat in order to brown thoroughly. My smoke alarm always went off, even though I used a vent fan (mine doesn't vent outside; it's a microwave/vent combo), and the smoke was hardly noticeable. I only grilled vegetables without the vent, and it didn't smoke at all. To expect no smoke when you want to brown any meat is unrealistic. The grill cleaned up very easily also. I highly recommend this for anyone who is a grilled meat and veggie lover. I was even thinking of buying a second one just in case this one breaks and I can't find another one. I may never use an outdoor grill again!
