Amazon.com Review Anyone who has ever used an electric rice cooker will vouch for them; they are simple to use, easy to clean, and the rice is consistently perfect. This handsome rice cooker, with its brushed stainless steel exterior and black handles, looks like it belongs in a professional kitchen. A domed glass lid shows what's going on during the cooking process. The measures in the accompanying booklet are for using the water-fill lines on the inside of the bowl and the little measuring cup that comes with the cooker, which is slightly different than an actual cup measure. (Jotting down standard measures in the margin will help in case the little cup ever gets lost.) The rice cooker stops cooking and switches to warm when it senses that the water has been cooked off. Cleaning is almost as easy as wiping out the removable insert with a paper towel. At the very most, it'll take a few quick swipes with a warm, soapy sponge. (To protect the nonstick coating, don't use anything more abrasive than a gentle nylon scrubber.) The rice cooker measures 12-1/2 across by 10 inches high. Rival includes a one-year warranty against defects and comes with a detailed booklet of instructions, recipes, and tips. --Garland Withers

After 1st use the glass top broke by itself. No one wants to take responsibility!! November 12, 2009 C. Vazquez (Weehawken, NJ) I have call the manufacturer, they do not have any in stock. I've called Antonline (the seller) they don't have any answers. What am I going to do?
Please respond, as I have an appliance I can not use.
Thank you,

Very good and reliable product February 3, 2009 Syam S. Suri (Tampa, FL USA) We have been using this cooker for 5 years and we are ordering one more now. Rice is a part of our daily staple and we use this cooker twice a day to cook rice. Its rugged enough to take the load. Best thing about electric rice cooker such as this is that its worry free. Fill it, plug it and forget it. Your rice will be cooked and kept warm. No water spilling outside, no burning or under cooking of rice. Once you get the Rice-to-water formula right, it gives consistent results every time. This particular model with its brushed steel exterior is stylish on the outside as well. Its easy to clean. The quality of non-stick vessel is not very good but comparatively this is one of the best among the rice cookers available in market.

This rice cooker is a very good product for a very reasonable price. We love the rice it cooks.
Doesn't cook rice well April 14, 2008 Andrew Lindsay 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this to replace an old Panasonic, which had worked like a charm for 18 years (and went off to continue working well at my son's first apartment) - but this one didn't work well right from the start. It leaves rice undercooked, hard and too dry. Even if I add another cup of water, it still doesn't come out softer. The warming mode burns the rice on the bottom of the pot.
not even the same item shown September 2, 2007 vegetarian4life (by the sea) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My cooker arrived yesterday and just in time for our "Feed the Homeless" day in the park. Last night I experimented with it and it was a total failure. But I gave it another try this morning. The controls shown in the ad are not the ones on the cooker. Theres on,warm and unplugged. The rice boils at such a high temp that my walls and floor and anything near was splattered with the white milk-like residue. It never switched to warm as promised. I just ran into the room and unplugged it. This device seems good for boiling potatoes or corn or beans, but that temp is set way too high for rice. I was also disappointed that no recipes came with it but the manufacturer probably knew it would not cook rice so why waste their time sending out rice recipes? I can make bad rice in a cheap pot bought at a thrift store so I do not know what to do with this contraption.
