Easy to use, protects rice from insects, dispenses rice in proper portions. Great product.

2 out of 5 stars Cheap materials & quality!! Overpricing...   August 2, 2010

I was shocked when I received this rice dispenser. The color looks more darker than the picture which shows here. The plastic box looks so cheap and loose. Even cannot weight half cup or less rice for one~ two people's meal. In all, it's overpricing.

1 out of 5 stars cheap quality   July 12, 2010

if you are serious about keeping critters and bugs this is just NOT the product. cheap construction and cheap materials.importantly, it is not air tight or even sealed in any way. u can see the gap at the back panels where they join..i wouldnt care if I had paid 10 dollars for this, but for the price its a scam by sunpentown

5 out of 5 stars Wife loves it.   June 8, 2010

I got this for my wife who eats a fair amount of rice. She specifically ask for one, so I read all the reviews and this is the one I chose. It seems simple, durable, and looks good in the kitchen. At first I thought, whats the point, just stick the bag of rice in the closet or something. It really is nice though, keeps it fresh and any critters out. My wife is very happy with it so I am as well.

5 out of 5 stars Great Size For Small Family   March 7, 2008

I go through a 50 lb bag of rice about once every six months. Even though that's a decent amount of rice, I wasn't sure if a rice dispenser would be all that useful for me.

However, I've loved this product from day one. No spilled grains from scooping from an open bag. No struggling to get grains from an almost empty bag. Looks a lot better than an open bag.

I do need to put away the half bag after the first fill though, so I stick the half-empty bag in a closet. You might want to stick with the 20 lb bags of rice if you don't want to do that, but I like the extra savings you get with the 50 lb bags.

I also got a $15 coupon for leaving feedback so the final price could actually be really cheap.

btw, when they say "1 cup" they mean the small cup. The amount dispensed is actually 2/3 of a cup. I have no problems with that though since I've made enough rice in my life that I just eye the water levels.
