I bought this to save time peeling potato's. and it is a great product and really dose work. I was doubtful but after I used it I was amazed at how fast and how quick I can peel so many and very little do I have to touch up. dose everything from carrots to apples to potato's if you want a quick way to peel, I would recommend this. It is well worth it.

this item was not like I expected It peeled the potatoes ok but not all the way. I had to finish peeling what it didn't do.
Easier to use a peeler April 9, 2010

This item works, but I find that it is easier to just use a peeler. Any pits or oddly shaped potatoes will retuire touching up with a peeler or knife anyway.
It does work and would probably be useful for large quantities.

I got it like 2 weeks ago. When I carried the package I "knew" it wasn't good, it was to light. When I tried it started to move, and make A LOT of noise, more than a blender, after 4 minutes I turned it off and checked the potatoes, they weren't peeled at all and it leaves a really weird texture on it.
So you guys understand how it works imagine you take a potatoes and you rub it against the street or you throw it to a wall a dozen of times, its something like that.
Dont throw your money away with this item, better peel the potato with a knife or with a hand potato peeler a conventional one.

THIS PEEL-A-MEAL ELECTRIC PEELER, REALLY LOOKS NICE...BUT IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME TO USE IT. IT JUST DOSE NOT WORK WELL ENOUGH OR EASY ENOUGH TO BOTHER WITH MY HEALTH ISSUES.
