| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The MIXXO by Bosch, launched in partnership with celebrity chef Todd English as part of his popular Todd English Collection, is a revolutionary handheld blender that prepares scrumptious sauces and refreshing drinks without the hassle of a cord or plug. The Mixxo is the first cordless hand-held immersion blender in the world to use Lithium ion batteries. Lithium batteries are lighter in weight and smaller in design than the other types. They do not suffer from the memory effect and the battery lifespan remains relatively unaffected even if kept plugged in after they have been fully charged. Other rechargeable batteries may degrade in these circumstances. Lithium ion batteries provide sufficient power for all mixing/blending needs in the kitchen, including ice-crushing capability and also deliver constant power for up to 20 minutes. An LED charge level indicator gives feedback at any time about the remaining energy reserves. A two-button safety switch system is part of the ergonomic soft-touch handle. The detachable, dishwasher safe, stainless steel blender foot offers an anti-splash design. The kit includes a chopper, a wall or table charging station, and a mixing container.

No power--doesn't mix, chop, or crush--just chokes September 30, 2009 every day cook (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This useless gadget doesn't even work as well as a wooden spoon. It was horrible at mixing brownies, woeful at mixing crepe batter, and awful at mixing muffins. I tried to use the chopper attachment to chop apples after I had peeled, cored, and quartered them. It could only handle one quarter apple at a time, and that it did slowly. Using an old fashioned box grater was faster. This gadget also did not have enough power to crush the ice cubes as I tried to make breakfast nog. It just pushed the ice around kind of choking on it. What a waste of money and kitchen space! I will be returning this product as soon as possible.
Great Product with Amazing Features August 24, 2009 pda&gps user (Palo Alto, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We use it as a blender, chopper and mixer. It does it all perfectly. The knives are firm and the materials used are of high quality. After all, it is a Bosch.
Definitely recommended for everyone who loves to cook; housewives, couples, singles and students.
Good brand, good item May 9, 2009 Don Fonshill 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use this a lot & am glad to have it. The included 'mini-processor' is great for small quantity preps.
My one pet peeve, however, is the dual-button configuration!
IMHO, this is totally unnecessary. Apparently meant to be a child safety thing, it's a pain to deal with. I wanted *cordless*, so it becomes a trade-off. There is at least one application where a better choice would be something with a *flat* blender foot with a low-slung blade (as opposed to the scalloped foot with the blade raised higher-as in this unit). Bamix (corded) makes a few. [...] I prefer to do some of my mixing/blending in a Pyrex mixing bowl instead of the included blender jug, though.
Dont waste your money April 27, 2009 Lee E. Cauthen 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this and returned it. It is a waste of money. It has no power to grind small ice. The charge does not last that long. I bought it to mix smoothies. I ended up purchasing a corded one.
very nice so far... April 9, 2009 Derek B. Boyer (Elk Rapids, Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As of date, I have had no real issues with this mixer. The test will come with time. The only fault I have found is with the processor attachment. The "post" that the blade sits on is not secure and food, mostly liquid, can get in there and it is not super easy to clean out. The bowl lid, also, is not sealed well and allows liquid from food or washing to enter it and it sometimes comes out the next time you use it.
