| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Revolutionizing a classic favorite. The new Spacemaker can opener is designed to please the traditional Spacemaker users: sturdiness, performance but most of all, plenty of usable counter space. Practical features such as knife sharpener and bottle opener combined with sleek design make this can opener a perfect addition to the Spacemaker collection.

| Customer Reviews: Poor design for under counter March 12, 2010 Retired Guy (Indiana) It is impossible to install this opener under the counter where it can operate without the counter above not preventing easy operation. This, I believe, is due to the placement of the installation screws.
My wife complained about it, and wanted me to have the old B&D opener fixed and put back where it was.
I then tried to operate it, and even had trouble placing the can where it would work, and had to spring it to get the can off. I think I am generous in giving it two stars, wish I had not bought it not. I think I will look for a swing-out wall-mounted manual one like we had when I was a child - 50 or 60 years ago.

I am very disappointed in this Black & Decker product. It was very hard to mount under the cabinet. Good luck in trying to open cans. It isn't unusual to have trouble trying to get the blade to line up and open the can. I am sorry that I ever bought this product
can opener December 23, 2009 Louise A. Routh (utah) I bought thisbecause it was a black a decker. Let me tell you;you can't tell a product by it's name. This can opener I wouldn't sell to my worst enemy. It is a piece of junk. Hard to mount; woun;t stay closed and cheaply made.
Louise Bllack and Decker CO1000 better go back to the drawing board.
Replaced an old opener April 24, 2009 K. Shaffer (Agoura Hills, CA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had a Rival under the cabinet can opener that was terrific. It had a button to push to swing it up and out of the way when not in use. The Black and Decker is larger but fits well under the cabinet. So far it has proved to be very effecient. I haven't tried the bag opener yet but all in all it is a good product.
