 New is not always improved February 27, 2010

We had purchased a B&D space saver toaster oven over 10 years ago and it still works fine. We redid our kitchen so wanted a black one instead of white. The new model doesn't broil. The new model has an impossible hanging bracket that is so flimsy, the oven doesn't stay hooked on it. It is so dangerous that we just put the oven on our counter. If you want an under the counter toaster oven - DON'T BUY THIS ONE.
Needs calibrated lines for toasting February 27, 2010

This oven works great as an oven. We like that it stops itself when done. But toasting is another kettle of fish. None of us can get the toast the way we like it. My husband just said he has not had a good piece of toast since we got it. There are no lines to judge where you are if you do find a spot you like you can then duplicate it the next time.

This is a standard toaster oven with no special features. It serves a purpose, makes toast and heats small items you don't want to cook in the oven.
The toast takes longer than the previous Black & Decker SpaceSaver model this unit replaced. We had to replace the slide in cabinet mounting kit, fortunately this toaster oven came with the kit. Delivered in outstanding fast time. Amazon continues to make online shopping a pleasant experience.

This is our 3rd B&D oven.We are once again pleased with the produdct.The problem I had was the bolts to install were to short.Spent a half day & more gas than I wanted to locate mm bolts.B & D needs to correct the bolt problem.The added expense was a bummer.

This is the second B&D Spacesaver toster we've had. The first one lasted 8 years and we use it daily. It took a little time to install but it is well worth it. Having two sets of hands does help so you might have to ask a friend or even...(gulp) your wife. We use this toaster every day... even for reheating left overs that we want crunchy (pizza, tacos, etc.) Works great baking chicken nuggets and texas toast garlic bread for the kids too!
Don't let the other reviewers scare you away. You only install it one time. Not every time you use it... if it takes some figuring out.. then FIGURE IT OUT AND MOVE ON! It's a toaster oven for crying out loud...and a darn good one at a great price. You won't regret it...
