 Delonghi is the only brand of fryer that I would purchase July 27, 2010

I previously owned a delonghi deep fryer which I used constantly for abount 10 years. This one is very similar. I love the large basket and the performance of this fryer. The only thing about this fryer is the power cord is magnetic and if you move the fryer the plug will easily fall off.

I don't know if mine was broken, but I don't believe it was, It just does not heat to a proper temperature and food gets grease soaked because of that. I gave it 2 stars only for the cleaning system and even that is flawed, as the oil pot cannot be removed so even after straining you have to be careful about trying to clean the pot without getting water into the electrical parts. Some would say just wipe it out but that is not proper cleaning to me. I would not reccomend and am in fact sending mine back for refund.

Don't understand the bad reviews. Had ours 4 months. Live in Florida and bought it for frying seafood. Maybe they got a lemon. Ours fries A-1. Easy clean up. And looks good on the counter. Vert satisfied. Would recommend to a friend and would buy again if I have a need.

The unit never stopped heating the oil. Had to return because of this defect.
Great deep fryer December 7, 2009

When my son moved out of the house, I let him take my Delonghi Deep Fryer as he used it alot more than I did. I figured I would get a new one and he could take the older one, which does and has worked great! After researching all kinds of reviews for different fryers, I discovered that the Delonghi is still rated very high with the best. So I ordered the DeLonghi fryer closest to the one I had (older version didn't have detachable cord or see-through glass on top). I love this one as much as the other one. Love the easy clean up and ease of use. Highly recommend this product.
