Product Description Heavyweight cast aluminum. Finished cake measures 8.25" high x 7.5" wide.
Amazon.com Review Cupcake lovers will flip over this super-sized cupcake pan from Wilton Dimensions. Designed to create one giant confection with a sculptural top and bottom, the piece turns out a 3D cupcake that measures approximately 7-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches. The concept is simple--bake the top and bottom halves in the same pan, stick them together with icing, and decorate according to the occasion. Ridges around the bottom of the cupcake and a swirl on the top add to the finished treat's appeal and make frosting fun. Crafted from heavy-gauge cast aluminum, the pan also features a nonstick surface to simplify release and cleanup. A winning novelty gift for the frequent baker, the piece holds 10 cups of batter total and measures 15-1/2 by 8-1/4 by 3-3/4 inches. --Emily Bedard

Love This Pan March 17, 2010 gmadby (CA USA) I bought this pan for my Daughter's 1st birthday. I made a practice cake and it took 2 tries to get it right. I ended up cooking the cake for a few hours on a really low temperature (about 250 degrees). I also baked the bottom portion for about 1/2 hr longer than the top. One cake mix was plenty. I sprayed the pan w/Pam and then floured the inside and the cake slid right out. I recommend this pan to anyone & would also recommend making a practice cake 1st.
Maybe It's Because I'm Not a Professional March 5, 2010 Amanda F Evans (Charlotte, NC) I was very excited about receiving this for my daughter's first birthday party. However, the cake did not turn out as expected. Both sides domed.... I tried to cut the dome down, but the cake started falling apart. It may have been the mixed I used, but it tasted fine. But, it was the ugliest cake ever.
Biggest Cupcake February 21, 2010 Wendy Ennis (Westford, MA) My granddaughter was having a party for her first birthday and my daughter wanted a cupcake theme. She came across this cake mold on Amazon and it was perfect. Before purchasing I read the previous reviews and baking hints and it sounded easy. My daughter and I performed a "trial run" a few days before the event to make sure we baked the perfect cake. After tweaking some of the suggestions, we baked it again the night before the party and it came out fabulous! It was easy and fun and we would recommend this cake mold for even those who do not consider themselves savvy in the kitchen.
Wilton Cup Cake Pan February 19, 2010 MP - Minnesota This is a high quality pan. I read the previous reviews and suggestions on amount of batter, baking time, etc. before I made my first cup cake. It turned out great - did not stick at all. I played around with the correct icing tip to make the bottom look like a cup cake paper - tip 1M worked great. I hollowed out the middle a bit to add some lemon filling. Its a fun cake to make.
Cute, but small and time consuming February 3, 2010 A. Johnson (Idaho) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cupcake turns out cute, and makes a great gift, although, beware, this isn't a good cake for a group (a party for instance). The finished product is certainly not big enough for more than 3-4 people to share, at most. And, much as I've tried, I cannot cook both sides at once. I've tried various depths of batter on either side with the same result. No matter how much batter you put in, because of the shape, the top of the cake cooks faster than the bottom does. So, if you cook both together, in order to have your bottom cook all the way through, your top burns. Or your top is perfect and the bottom not cooked in the middle. So, I have to cook each side individually, making for a rather time consuming process. Or maybe I need to buy another pan so one can cook the top and the other the bottom...
