This is a terrific travel cup! September 7, 2010 W. Hawkins (Portland, OR) I ordered two of these; one for my husband and one for myself. My husband didn't care for it because he thinks it's too big and a little heavy (due to the double wall construction). But I LOVE this cup! We bought a LavAzza espresso machine after returning from Europe and experiencing espresso the way it's supposed to be made, and I make my espresso macciato every morning in this cup, and it stays hot the entire time I'm drinking it. Yes, the cup is a bit heavy, but it's easy to hold because the outside is textured so your hand doesn't slip! You can stick it and its lid in the dishwasher, too. The silicon lid does get stained, and there are procedures on the packaging about how to get the coffee stain out, but I just wash it - I don't really care if it's stained as long as it's clean.
Extremely convincing September 2, 2010 Carebear The outside of this cup even has a matte finish like paper and the silicone lid fits securely. I'm 100% pleased I got the real thing instead of a cheaper version for several reasons:
1. supports the designer
2. it's the original
3. well designed (fit of lid, rubber plug on bottom, double-walled...)
4. looks like a paper cup
5. I can buy spare lids for it
Great idea except for the lid.... September 2, 2010 D. M. Wright (Marshall Twp, PA) The cup is nice, if a bit smaller than I anticipated. The lid, however, is not a good fit. Literally. It is difficult to put on, stains easily, and it imparts a bit of a silicone taste to the coffee. It also never felt secure to me; I kept waiting for a coffee bath.
It's okay but nothing special August 22, 2010 Keith Wissman (Royal Oak MI USA) Have used for about ten days. It feels heavy in the hand, doesn't hold enough coffee for it's size, does only a modest job of keeping my coffee warm, silicone lid is easy on and off.
Not a good value IMHO. Probably will go back to my less than $10 Starbucks double wall ceramic mug which keeps more coffee hotter longer. Or may try one of my Tervis Tumblers (also bought from Amazon) with one of their lids...
Great Product, Looks Cool and Feels Cool August 17, 2010 Serge I purchased one of these a few weeks ago and just love it. It is sooo much better than your typical thermos or travel mug and looks sweet too.
My only complaint is that there is no cozy, sleeve to go around the cups...like the cardboard ones you get from the coffee shops, however, i found some awesome ones for three bucks from a company called Relative Design (relative design dot US). They're these little felt sleeves and they match the style of this cup perfectly...They're called Coffee Coats.
All in all a very cool product.
