good if pricey October 18, 2009 Jimi Jazz (Portland, OR) These seem to work better than the non isi ones - less gas escaping when using. Little pricey in my opinion.
Great! August 9, 2009 Dmitriy Holsten (NYC, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using ISI chargers for years. They work very well -- I've never had any issues with them at all. One charger is enough for one siphon of water. Water comes out crisp and tasty. I am totally addicted to it.
One trick is to vigorously shake the siphon up and down after you've discharged the charger into it. This makes the water bubbly from the very beginning.
Yes, using one siphon many times would be nice. But then, since I'd be breaking laws of physics, I'd also quit my job and create my daily bread out of thin air...
Not Economical, Just Eco-friendly July 12, 2009 suzann nicole (Tampa, FL) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
It clearly states in the description that two cartridges should be used for a liter of soda. That makes the liter of soda cost $2.40 (if you get free shipping.) Do not compare this cost to that of Perrier or San Pellegrino because those waters have finer bubbles, akin to Champagne, some of which (Gerolsteiner) are naturally occurring. This is regular soda, with large bubbles. I buy a 12 pack of soda in cans for $3, which gives me 4.5 liters. The upside to the cartridges is having fresh soda on demand, with less packaging, shipping space, and you can recycle the steel cartridges. However, it would be worth it to look for these in bulk.
HORRIBLE SODA MAKER! March 21, 2009 Melisa Schmieder (Redondo Beach, CA United States) 4 out of 14 found this review helpful
iSi 1-Quart Soda Siphon SLL, Brushed Aluminum
The chargers and the soda maker were the worst things ever. Totaling over $70 to buy not including shipping and tax, I would have been better off drinking toilet water. I returned the soda maker, cost me $20 to ship and since it was opened and used (how the heck else would I know it barely works and makes horrible soda?) I'm expecting Target to fight me on getting a refund. I couldn't return the chargers bc they were considered "hazardous". Funny you didn't consider them hazardous when you shipped them to me and charged me $10 for 10 of them that make 10 8oz glasses of crappy water....
I had wanted to make soda water at home to avoid recycling millions of Arrowhead Sparkling water bottles but since it's twice as expensive for worse soda, I'm going with the "deplete our resources and fill the landfill" option. Hey, I tried.
My dad had a soda maker when we were kids (back in the 70's) and it was GREAT---you could control the carbonation and it tasted like real soda water. This wasn't even close. The instructions literally tell you to SHAKE THE BOTTLE to make the soda. Yeah, guess what happens when you shake a bottle of soda and then try to dispense it?
Please warn others not to waste their money. I am still hoping I get mine back but I doubt I will....

These soda chargers are hard to find. I was very happy to order them on the Internet and receive them in two days.
